MOCAN Presents TMP1, “Radical” Thoughts

March 13 - May 29, 2021

A global crisis in the 21st century is much more than quarantine baking, hand washing techniques, and curbside pickup. We have learned that a global crisis changes the way society operates. This change in operation has exposed and continues to expose the inadequacies in our system and how it is failing us. These same inadequacies fuel the need to create new practices that will not only assist in the advancement of our society but allow us to define the relationship between radical thought and radical practice.

Through art, Museum of Contemporary Art Nashville (MOCAN) explores how science, sustainability, and socialism can and will contribute to us creating a new, functional, and citizen-oriented system in the first edition of its Traveling Museum Project (TMP). It will be a chance for audiences to reflect on the pressing issues of our time and consider a diverse range of contemporary perspectives.

TMP1 will be held at 1004 Gallatin Ave. in East Nashville from March 13 to May 29, 2021. To register for a ticket, visit our invitation.

To ensure that visitors can enjoy “Radical” Thoughts safely, MOCAN is taking a series of precautions to mitigate the risk posed by COVID-19. This includes but has not been limited to following all relevant CDC guidelines, ensuring limited capacity within the exhibition venue, enforcing a mask mandate among event staff and attendees, making hand sanitizer and masks available to visitors, undergoing daily venue sanitation and more.

Please note: Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, there may be wait times before entry to the exhibition is granted.
